oncogenes

Pathology

- activation mutation
- overexpression

  • fusion gene in which the promoter region of genes coding for the subunits of immunoglobulins (IGHG1, IGLC1, IGKC) or TCR (TCRA, TCRB, TCRC, TCRD) are juxtaposed to the entire coding sequence of a second gene that is subsequently overexpressed in lymphoid cells causing lymphomas or lymphoid leukemias
  • fusion gene in which the promoter region of a first gene is juxtaposed to the entire coding sequence of a second gene that is subsequently overexpressed in specific tissue
