Histopathology:
symmetric, well circumscribed
2 or more of the following;
— common nevus
— blue nevus or other pigmented dendritic melanocytes
— Spitz nevus (epithelioid and spindle cell nevus)
— pigmented spindle and epithelioid cells
— amelanotic spindle cells
ordinary nevus component overlies/adjacent to other component
deep involvement occurs
plexiform configuration on occasion
Differential:
cellular blue nevus
melanoma
