- 10q22-q23: germline mutations in ribosomal protein S24 gene (RPS24)
Blackfan-Diamond anemia is a disorder of ribosome synthesis. Mutations in ribosomal proteins or associated genes lead to disrupted ribosomal biogenesis and/or function.
