anaplastic astrocytoma

Anaplastic astrocytoma (AA, WHO grade III) is, second to Glioblastoma, the most common and most malignant type of adult CNS tumour.

Molecular biology

- loss of both wild-type copies of genes in the RB1 pathway (15970925)

- amplification and overexpression of CDK4
