CLCF1 belongs to the interleukin-6 (IL-6) (MIM.147620) family of cytokines, which are involved in cell signaling through phosphorylation of gp130 (MIM.162820).
IL6 family members share similarity in gene structure and have a 4-helix bundle in their protein structure.
