Definition: Opisthorchis viverrini, common name Southeast Asian liver fluke, is a food-borne trematode parasite from the family Opisthorchiidae that attacks the area of the bile duct.
Infection is acquired when people ingest raw or undercooked fish.
Infection with the parasite is called opisthorchiasis. O. viverrini infection also predisposes the infected for cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer of the bile ducts.

Cocccidia
26 April 2017WKP
Coccidia (Coccidiasina) are a subclass of microscopic, spore-forming, single-celled obligate intracellular parasites belonging to the apicomplexan class Conoidasida.
As obligate intracellular parasites, they must live and reproduce within an animal cell. Coccidian parasites infect the intestinal tracts of animals, and are the largest group of apicomplexan protozoa.
Pathology
Infection with these parasites is known as coccidiosis. Coccidia can infect all mammals, some birds, some (...) -
