Borderline epithelial lesions of the breast; borderline epithelial anomalies of the breast
The concept of borderline epithelial lesions of the breast remains a controversial one, both at the conceptual and practical levels.
The work of Page and collaborators has suggested the existence of a continuum between hyperplasia and carcinoma in situ, and that the risk for the development of invasive carcinoma correlates with the degree of proliferation and atypia.

low-grade adenosquamous carcinoma
16 August 2016mammary LGASC; Low-grade adenosquamous carcinoma of the breast
Definition: Low-grade adenosquamous carcinoma of the breast is an uncommon neoplasm of uncertain pathogenesis, clinical behavior, and malignant potential.
The largely indolent, but locally aggressive, clinical course of low-grade adenosquamous carcinoma of the breast has been described.
Although complete limited excision of small lesions may be curative, tumors greater than 3.0 cm may require more aggressive therapy.
