Imaging systems and Liquid based preps resulting in less cells to screen count as ½ a slide. Secondary review of slides counts as 0 slides.
A cytologist can examine up to and not more than 100 gynecologic and nongynecologic slides over 24-hours. The 100 slides must be read over at least 8-hours.
