Definition : B-lymphocyte antigen CD19, also known as CD19 molecule (Cluster of Differentiation 19), B-Lymphocyte Surface Antigen B4, T-Cell Surface Antigen Leu-12 and CVID3 is a transmembrane protein that in humans is encoded by the gene CD19.
In humans, CD19 is expressed in all B lineage cells, except for plasma cells, and in follicular dendritic cells.
CD19 plays two major roles in human B cells. It acts as an adaptor protein to recruit cytoplasmic signaling proteins to the (...)

27 October 2016Pathology
Assessment of CD37 B-cell antigen and cell-of-origin significantly improves risk prediction in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLNCL). doi:10.1182/blood-2016-05-715094. CD37 positivity predicts significantly better survival in DLBCL treated with R-CHOP, predominating other prognostic factors in GCB-DLBCL. CD37 loss is a potent risk factor for R-CHOP resistance in both GCB- and (...) -
CD24
21 September 2016Pathology
CD24 was shown to be overexpressed in high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) effusions compared to malignant mesothelioma (MM) in gene expression array analysis.
CD24 is highly useful in differentiating high-grade serous carcinoma from benign and malignant mesothelial cells. http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.humpath.2016.08.005 In a study, Reactive mesothelial cells were CD24-negative in all carcinoma specimens. The overexpression of CD24 in ovarian carcinoma effusions compared to (...) -

CD109
14 September 2015WKP
CD109 is a co-receptor of TGF-β1 and suppresses TGF-β signaling.
CD109 is a GPI-linked cell surface antigen expressed by CD34+ acute myeloid leukemia cell lines, T-cell lines, activated T lymphoblasts, endothelial cells, and activated platelets (Lin et al., 2002).
In addition, the platelet-specific Gov antigen system, implicated in refractoriness to platelet transfusion, neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia, and posttransfusion purpura, is carried by CD109 (Kelton et al., 1990; Lin (...) -
