Ameloblastic fibrosarcoma is a rare tumor and only the mesenchymal component shows features of malignancy but the epithelial compoment remains bland.
These tumors can occur de novo but can also be associated with recurrent ameloblastic fibroma or ameoloblastic fibroodontoma. There are usually no difficulties in recognizing the anaplastic features of the mesenchymal component.

Definition: Central giant cell granuloma (CGCG) of the jaws is a central osteolytic lesion characterized histologically by multinucleated giant cells in a background of ovoid to spindle-shaped mesenchymal cells.
