HPV-associated OIN; Human papillomavirus-associated oral intraepithelial neoplasia.
The term ’HPV-associated Oral Intraepithelial Neoplasia’ characterize lesions of the oral cavity for consistency in nomenclature with HPV-associated lesions of the lower anogenital tract.
Epithelial hyperplasia with marked karyorrhexis and apoptosis are present in all the cases, along with features of conventional oral epithelial dysplasia.

Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2B (MEN 2B) is a rare disease caused by germline mutations in the RET proto-oncogene and is transmitted in an autosomal dominant fashion.
Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2B (MEN 2B) is characterized by medullary thyroid carcinoma, pheochromocytoma and mucosal neuroma developing in the tongue, lip, intestinal tract, palate etc.
