cystic squamous cell carcinoma metastasis
4 April 2016metastasis of cystic squamous cell carcinoma

metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma
4 April 2016metastatic HNSCC; metastatic HPV-associated HNSCC
Prognosis
In stage IV HNSCC, long-term survival is rare and DM is a significant predictor for mortality.
If patients developed DM, lung metastases had the most favourable prognosis, so intensified palliative treatment might be justified in DM limited to the lungs.
Treatment
surgery
radiotherapy
chemotherapy
targeted therapy mTOR inhibition (rapamycin) (#27015118#) cetuximab for HER2-expressing tumors

EBV-associated diseases of the head and neck
9 February 2015EBV-related disorders of the head and neck
EBV-related disorders of the head and neck are fairly common and can be either benign or malignant. Infectious mononucleosis is the classic EBV infected disorder involving lymph nodes and extranodal lymphoid tissues (i.e., Waldeyer ring including palatine tonsil, lingual tonsil and nasopharyngeal adenoids) of the head and neck.
Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal-type (ENKTL) and EBV positive diffuse large B cell lymphoma of the elder (...) -

head and neck squamous cell carcinoma of unknown primary
22 September 2014Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma of unknown primary is defined as the presence of squamous cell carcinoma in one or more lymph nodes within the head and neck region that are not solely in the supraclavicular region, without an identifiable primary tumor.
While many head and neck cancer patients initially present with a neck mass, the mucosally-based primary site of origin is typically identified via subsequent workup.
Squamous cell carcinoma of unknown primary is a relatively rare (...) -
