granularity
12 October 2015WP
Granularity is the extent to which a material or system is composed of distinguishable pieces or grains. It can either refer to the extent to which a larger entity is subdivided, or the extent to which groups of smaller indistinguishable entities have joined together to become larger distinguishable entities.
For example, a kilometer broken into centimeters has finer granularity than a kilometer broken into meters. In contrast, molecules of photographic emulsion may clump together to (...) -
metadata
12 October 2015WP
Metadata is "data about data".
Two types of metadata exist:
structural metadata Structural metadata is data about the containers of data.
descriptive metadata. Descriptive metadata uses individual instances of application data or the data content.
Metadata was traditionally in the card catalogs of libraries. As information has become increasingly digital, metadata is also used to describe digital data using metadata standards specific to a particular discipline. Describing (...) -

ICD-10
22 September 2014ICD-10 represents the 10th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (usually referred to as “ICD”), now overseen by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The overall goal of the ICD project is to standardize medical diagnosis and track diseases worldwide with the use of uniform codes to improve consistency among physicians and hospitals in recording patient symptoms and diagnoses. These systems are now also used to more accurately (...) -
