Synopsis
pronounced proliferation of fibrous stroma
multinodular tumor
can be bilateral (24943791)
usually small, multilocular, simple papillary processes
cystic areas lined by a single layer of ciliated columnar epithelium resting on a prominent fibroblastic stroma
glands and cysts are scattered in a fibroblastic stroma.
This stromal component appears grossly as firm white or grayish areas.
