Differential diagnosis

- microglandular hyperplasia

- invasive endometrial carcinoma

  • Invasive endometrial carcinoma shows malignant infiltrative glands with a desmoplastic response.
  • It is differentiated from endocervical adenocarcinoma on IHC by positivity for vimentin and more frequent positivity for ER and PR.
