PDMT

Definition : PDMT is primarily a tumor of the extremities of adult females which present as a dermal nodule composed of nests of clear to amphophilic oval cells separated by delicate fibrous strands.

- mild nuclear atypia
- low mitotic activity
- melanin not obvious

Immunochemistry

- S-100+
- Melan-A+
- HMB-45+
- microphthalmia transcription factor +
- CK- (pancytokeratin -)
- SMA- (smooth muscle actin -)

Differential diagnosis

- cellular blue nevus
- clear cell sarcoma
- cutaneous melanoma
