IGFs
The insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) , previosuly somatomedins, comprise a family of peptides that play important roles in mammalian growth and development.
Three main IGFs (somatomedins) have been characterized: IGF1 (somatomedin-C), IGF2 (somatomedin-A) (MIM.147470), and vitronectin (somatomedin-B) (MIM.193190).
