HEY1

Saturday 20 August 2016

Definition: Hairy/enhancer of split-related proteins (HEYs ), such as HEY1, are basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors (bHLH transcription factors) implicated in cell fate decision and boundary formation.

HEYs genes are direct transcriptional targets of the Notch signaling pathway in Drosophila and vertebrates.
