Lymphoepithelial lesions

NOT A SPECIFIC FINDING

- Seen in benign circumstances: florid gastritis (Hashimoto’ s, myo/Iymphoepithelial sialadenitis)
- Seen in other lymphomas of B and T-cell type (can be "striking" in thyroid FL)

NOT A REQUIRED FINDING

- MALT lymphomas can arise at sites without epithelial structures
- Very infrequent in MALT lymphomas in some gastrectomy specimens (cutaneous MALT lymphomas)
