Images

- Dermal duct tumor, in the family of poroid tumors. bland, poroid cells. no connection to epiderm (in THIS plane).

- poroma

Synopsis

- cords and nests of small keratinocytes attached to the epidermis
- nests are sharply delimited from adjacent epidermis
-  ducts and sharply delimited islands of squamous epithelium
- intraepidermal (“hidroacanthoma simplex”), intradermal (“dermal duct tumor”) or mixed (most common)
-  dermis with reactive vessels and inflammatory infiltrate
- possible heavily pigmented variants
- granulation-like tissue in the stroma

Types

- classic eccrine poroma (trabecular eccrine poroma )
- hidroacanthoma simplex (intraepithelial poroma )
- dermal duct tumor (intradermal poroma )
- syringoacanthoma
- syringofibroadenoma
- poroid hidradenoma
