Synopsis

- chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (CIP)

Association

- eosinophilic fasciitis
- decreased diffusion capacity

Microscopy

- inflammatory myopathy
- dense lymphoid infiltrate
- extensive loss of the muscularis propria layers

Treatment

- immunosuppressive therapy with cyclosporin

Etiology

- autoimmune enteric leiomyositis (15948126)
