low-copy repeats
Tuesday 14 October 2003
Low-copy repeats (LCRs) are genomic features that affect chromosome stability and can produce disease-associated rearrangements. For example, 10q22.3-q23.31 is a region harboring a complex set of LCRs.
For exemple, chromosome 22, particularly band 22q11.2, is predisposed to rearrangements due to misalignments of low-copy repeats (LCRs). (14526392)
