  • portal edema
  • portal inflammation in which large mononuclear cells and neutrophils predominate
  • Rickettsia in portal spaces
  • sinusoidal erythrophagocytosis
  • hepatocytic necrosis
  • biliary duct obstruction secondary to portal inflammation and portal edema

- hemolysis
