clear cell meningioma

Definition: Clear cell meningioma (CCM) is a rare variant of meningioma. It is rare tumor of the nervous system that usually occur in young patients and display high recurrence rates and potentially aggressive behavior.

Only 17 cases have been previously reported in children. Although it has bland cytologic features, it has a higher rate of recurrence than does conventional meningioma.

- microcystic meningioma
- hemangioblastoma
- clear cell ependymoma
