MYST4, monocytic leukemia zinc finger protein-related factor

The histone acetyltransferase MORF (10q22) is the monocytic leukemia zinc finger protein-related factor or MYST4.

MORF is a member of the MYST family of histone acetyltransferase. Its role in tumors suggests a role for this histone acetyltransferase in altered chromatin regulation.

Pathology

-  acute myeloid leukemia: fusion gene formation in MORF/CREBBP in with the t(10;16)(q22;p13) (10q22 and 16p13) (#11157802#)

-  uterine leiomyoma: t(10;17) (10q22 and 17q21) disrupts the histone acetyltransferase MORF (10q22) (monocytic leukemia zinc finger protein-related factor or MYST4). (#15313893#)
