eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders

Primary eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (EGID) are defined as disorders that selectively affect the gastrointestinal tract with eosinophil-rich inflammation in the absence of known causes for eosinophilia (eg, drug reactions, parasitic infections, and malignancy).

Lesional syndromes

-  eosinophilic infiltration of oesophagus
-  eosinophilic gastritis
-  eosinophilic enteritis
-  eosinophilic colitis

Diseases

-  eosinophilic esophagitis
-  IgE-mediated food allergy
-  eosinophilic gastroenteritis
-  allergic colitis
-  inflammatory bowel disease (IBDs)
