MYH11 at 16p13 and CBFB at 16q22

Tumors

- acute non lymphoblastic leukaemia (ANLL) (5-10%)

- myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)

Rearrangements

- inv(16)(p13q22)
- t(16;16)(p13;q22)
- del(16)(q22)

Molecular biology

- CBFB/MYH11 fusion protein in acute myeloid leukemia, usually associated with bone marrow eosinophilia (M4Eo leukemia)
