Synopsis

- petechial rash (petechies)
- coagulopathy
- cardiovascular collapse
- bilateral adrenal hemorrhage

Etiology

- Neisseria meningitidis systemic infection (meningococcemia)
(80%)
- Other bacterias (20%) (splenectomy ++)

  • Streptococcus pneumoniae and streptococcal septicemia
  • Hemophilus influenzae
  • Staphylococcus aureus (#16177250#)
    • PVL+ Staphylococcus aureus
    • staphylococcal septicemia (#16177250#)
