Definition: subtype of fusiform cell tumors expressing a myofibroblastic differentiation and SMA smooth muscle actin.


- benign myofibroblastic tumors

- intermeditae myofibroblastic tumors

- malignant myofibroblastic tumors


- Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT). IHC: ALK1. NB: spindle cell fascicles; prominent nucleoli; lymphoplasmacytosis.
