Definition: TrkC is a member of the Trk family of tyrosine kinase receptors and plays an important role in the development and maintenance of neural tissues.


- ETV6-NTRK3 fusion gene by translocation t(12;15)(p13;q25)

- NTRK3 signaling is activated in adenoid cystic carcinoma and requires NT-3 to stimulate invasive behavior. (23027130)

- NTRK3 fusion genes in fibrosarcomas (30520818)

  • NTRK fusions in malignant tumors are therapeutic targets of tyrosine kinase inhibitors.
  • CD34-positive fibrosarcoma of bone and soft tissue could be a good candidate for NTRK testing.
  • STRN-NTRK3 and STRN3-NTRK fusion genes
