Definition: The semiology is the science of signs. The medical semiology is the science of signs and symptoms in medicine. It is a part of semiotics.

The morphological semiology or morphosemiology is the science of morphological signs in diagnostic pathology.

A morphological sign is a morphological anomaly with a diagnostic meaning.
