Mature cystic teratomas (MCTs) of the ovary are typically composed of a cyst lined with neoplastic tumor cells recapitulating ectodermal differentiation including derivatives such as epidermis, dermis, and appendages (sebaceous glands), although mesodermal and endodermal derivatives can also be seen.
