Barrett Esophagus : High-grade Dysplasia
Dysplasia in Barrett esophagus is dividied into low-grade and high-grade. Dysplastic changes are most often seen in the areas of incomplete intestinal metaplasia.
In high-grade dysplasia, he glands are crowded and irregularly shaped and there is nuclear hyperchromasia, increased mitotic activity, and prominent nucleoli.
