Eosinophilic crystalloids

Eosinophilic crystalloids are not specific for cancer.

They can be present within the lumen of a large benign gland.

They can also be seen in atypical adenomatous hyperplasia (AAH), PIN, and other conditions.

Etiology

- crystalloids in benign glands
- crystalloids in prostatic adenocarcinoma
