colorectal inflammatory fibroid polyp
Tuesday 20 March 2012
Inflammatory fibroid polyps are uncommon tumor-like lesions arising in the submucosa.
They are most common in the stomach and small intestine, but they occasionally develop in the rectum.
Rectal lesions demonstrate the same histology as those occurring more proximally.
