secretory carcinoma of the breast

Secretory carcinomas are distinguished from infiltrating ductal carcinomas of the breast by their characteristic histomorphology and more favorable prognosis and by the expression of a chimeric tyrosine kinase that is encoded by the ETV6/NTRK3 fusion gene.

Etiology

- ETV6/NTRK3 fusion gene by translocation t(12;15)(p13;q25)
