Lymphoplasmacytic sclerosing pancreatitis (autoimmune pancreatitis) is the best-known manifestation of an unusual corticosteroid-sensitive systemic fibrosclerotic disease that is associated with high plasma immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) and tissue infiltration with IgG4-secreting plasma cells.
